On May 21st the SciMentors Staples club students led by President Kylie Kirkham and Vice-Presidents Isla Goldberg and Sophie Statkiewicz presented their findings about medical professions to middle school students. They were joined by Michael Burns from Westport EMS, Cristin Statkiewicz, a registered nurse, and Ms. Wirkus, a Staples science teacher. Students Alexis Krenzer and Ella Zhu led a chemistry experiment while Lucy Barney, a certified EMT, taught students about EMT equipment. We had over 30 middle schoolers come to the fair.
